tv

I love this show!

I might have to get the seasons on DVD later on when they come out.

On a side note, I have what feels like a major earthquake going on in my torso. It’s REALLY weird tonight, but it started being that way early this morning; I noticed it first at 5AM. She has to be so cramped in there. It feels so tight with pressure that she has to have grown a good amount without my skin stretching to catch up yet.

GOOD THING: lots done in Cora’s room lately
BAD THING: haven’t bought any food to make for Thanksgiving yet

sorry

I know I haven’t put much here in the last while, but I don’t have much to say.
This weekend was good. We went to Moe’s BBQ for dinner on Friday and hung out with Brian’s parents a little while after that while they babysat Brian’s cousin. Saturday, I woke up early and met Sheena at Pepper Place, where we sampled some yummy food and looked around. We also walked around Railroad Park and went to Sojourn’s, the fair trade store in town to do some looking around and shopping. That night, Brian took me to Longhorn, and it was delicious. We then went to the Pattons to watch some TV and such. There was also a snack/food run involved. Sunday, church was good. I can’t remember what else happened other than Brian’s sister getting into town Sunday right after we got back from lunch.

I am having major troubles finding a swimsuit this year, so I think I’m giving up.

GOOD THING: 1 hour of work left
BAD THING: 1 hour of work left

baby

We went to visit Dan & Carrie’s new baby tonight, and she is so funny! I don’t know why, but I think her face and expressions are just funny. I do not mean this in a bad way – she is very cute. But she makes me laugh! There were lots of people there, so I didn’t hold her, but I can’t wait to visit them after they get home so I can really see her!

I also hope it snows like crazy in a couple of days. They’re saying we could get up to 8 inches, even though I don’t believe it. However, even half of that would be sweet! If it snows a lot, I am not going to work on Monday because I will be playing in the snow. I hope that is okay!

Another good thing is that I sold 2 necklaces online this week, 2 sets of magnets at work, and a friend wants 5 necklaces soon to use as gifts. Woot!

I took Choxie to the dog park today, and she had tons of fun. She actually ran with another dog lots, chased balls and frisbees, and jumped super high lots of times in a row for a huge stick. Woo hoo! She got so tired, and I was happy about all of it.

I am also tired of hearing about Camille Grammer.

GOOD THING: work should be less busy next week
BAD THING:still haven’t cleaned the house

procrastination

I am procrastinating by blogging!

I am working on the 2011 yearbook for Trinity’s UMW, and it’s taking forever! It’s not hard, but it’s tedious. I feel like I’m doing a job at work. It wouldn’t be so bad if the computer file I was given had an actual format with tabs and such instead of things badly spaced with spacebars and junk. I am doing my best at fixing most of it.

I even took Choxie to the dog park for a break after working an hour or 2, but she didn’t like it that much. She mostly wanted to stand by me or just come back home. She’s sleeping now in the couch. I guess not having fun wore her out.

Those commercials on tv with sad and pitiful animals who’ve been abused and locked up make me want to cry. I really wish the wouldn’t put those on tv, but I wish more that people wouldn’t be so cruel. My mother in law says there’s a special place in hell for people who torture animals, and I like to think she’s right. Click here to donate help for free to animals in shelters!

I love the gameshow called Baggage! It’s awesome. The worst part about it is that 1 vs. 100 comes on after it, and I don’t want to see that.

GOOD THING: Choxie is super cute.
BAD THING: My neck is SUPER sore today. Ouch.

kendra

I like watching Kendra. I don’t watch it regularly, but I like catching it on sometimes. So far, this newest episode is really good. It’s the one about Hank playing in the Superbowl, but so far, it’s been about Kendra needing to lose weight and stop eating junk food.

Choxie is sleeping on me, and she has been sleeping all evening! We know she is extra tired because she left us and went in our bedroom to sleep on her bed. That means she is REALLY tired. She is having major twitches during this current nap, and it’s really cute. Her paw, nose, mouth and face are all twitching like crazy. She looks like a rabbit with her nose and whiskers twitching! Maybe she knows it’s almost Easter.

We are really tired, too, so we both took a nap this afternoon. Of course, I slept longer than I should have, but I haven’t slept much lately, so I needed it.

I ran over 3 miles today! We went a different way today and ran to 31 and back. The worst part was that we went after the nap I mentioned, so it was harder than normal just like it was last time we ran after a nap. I think I won’t do that again.

I’m pretty excited in a way to go back to work tomorrow. Of course I’d like to stay at home, but compared to a normal Sunday evening, this one doesn’t seem so begrudging of the upcoming Monday morning. As far as I know, everyone will be back from vacations, and I don’t think it should be an extra busy week. Also, I don’t have ANY commitments any evening this week besides TV night, so that is awesome! Maybe I can get some stuff done around the house or catch up on some reading at least.

Guess what? My birthday is in less than 2 weeks! It doesn’t seem like it is that close, so maybe it will feel more like it when it gets closer.

GOOD THING: ran farther than ever today & sold another necklace online
BAD THING: possibly messed up tonight’s sleep by napping

voila

Today is Thursday, doy, and that means today is great! Work has slowed down. It’s also the day at work that we have girls’ Bible study, so that’s new and different. Also, I have gone running twice with Brian this week, and I feel good about it. I want to go ahead and move to the next step, but he’s making me do this step at least once more before we double our running time. Booo. Tonight is TV night! AND THAT IS AWESOME!

I am about to register to win some stuff on this one blog I read (at some point today or tomorrow), and part of the requirement is to blog about the contest, so get ready for a few blogs like that. I think it will be 4 or 5, and they’ll be short. I hope I can win lots of stuff! It didn’t look like many had registered yet, so maybe I will. Fingers crossed!

GOOD THING: TV NIGHT!
BAD THING: need to go to the grocery store

whoa nelly

Today was super busy at work! It was the first day of sign-ups for the Spring Lil’ Lambs Consignment Sale, which means my phone rang off the HOOK – and that is not off the hook hehe.

I don’t have a clue how many phone calls I made today, but what I do know is that I was on my phone all day long with no breaks except for lunch, and we currently have 118 sellers on the list. Most sellers get on the list after a minimum of 2 phone calls, and many of them create 3 phone calls. They call me and leave a message, I call them back to schedule and miss them so I have to leave a message, then they call me back and leave a message with their answers. I think tomorrow, we’ll meet our max number of sellers, so I won’t have many more days on the phone. I’ll still have some work to do, but I will be able to do other things at the same time. The best part is that my day went by really quickly!

Tonight, we had salmon, pasta and green peas for dinner. It was so yummy! We deserved it because we went running after work with the dog! Brian wants me to start running with him. Since he hasn’t been running nearly as much as he did before the holidays, he’s kind of starting over with the whole walk some, run some schedule, so I am going to do it with him. Today was really easy because we ran for a minute, then walked two minutes over and over until we got home. I think we were out for like 30 minutes, so that wasn’t a big deal. It’s pretty fun to run as a family unit!

That monkey on Family Guy weirds me out sometimes.

Church was good Sunday! We met to talk about the upcoming mission trips, and Dave’s sermon was really good in my opinion. I knew the story about when Jesus made the disciples “fishers of men,” but Dave pointed out that particular story was a good example of how God works his way into our lives. It was pretty sweet.

Today, I dusted as soon as I got home from work because I am so tired of seeing our TV stand so dusty. I have no idea how everything gets dusty so fast. I also cleaned all the kitchen counters tonight after dinner because I was extra grossed out after making fish. I swept the whole house this weekend, and I am always shocked at how much dirt and dust hide around every room. Now, if someone would come clean the rest of the house! I need about 2 more closets and a bathroom cleaning fairy.

I also scored over $200 worth of work clothes Sunday for $67! I got 2 new pair of dress pants, a cashmere cardigan/sweater and 2 sleeveless dress shirts. I needed some work clothes – especially pants, so that was awesome. It will be my Valentine’s Day present from Brian, probs.

I can’t wait to go to Bolivia!

GOOD THING: got a lot done today
BAD THING: need something for dessert…

excitement

I absolutely cannot believe how excited Choxie gets when we say, “You wanna go for a walk?!” She goes crazy! Brian has been walking her a lot lately, and that is awesome since I’ve been feeling bad and busy in the evenings. They just left, so I’m going to watch some more TV! Tuesday is ghost show night. Sweet!

Today was really busy at work, but I don’t feel bad about the amount of work I wasn’t able to finish. I can easily finish tomorrow and on time. We also took a time out to go downtown to the recycling center and clean out the office. I’m sure everyone is happy about that, and Jeanne and I enjoyed the chance to get out for a while.

Sometimes I wonder what makes people so different. Brian has a friend (who is now also my friend) that seems to have a super interesting, fun, and adventurous life. I always feel so boring and lame when I hear about the stuff he does, and I just wonder what the difference is that makes him okay with all that’s involved with traveling the globe to do awesome things and not have the typical life. I feel like most people like to think they’re not typical and want to be different, but most people don’t really deviate far enough from the norm for it to be so noticeable. Basically, I’m super jealous of his lack of fear and need for adventure, and I feel really boring.

I think I have high blood pressure because the last two times I was in a doctor’s office, they said it was a little high, and then I checked it at my grandparents’ house this past weekend, and it was the same, so that rules out the possibility of me just being nervous or whatever in the doctor’s office.

Lauren did a great job speaking at Circle tonight! Her stuff was really interesting.

GOOD THING: today is over except for relaxing
BAD THING: headache

tv tonight

I decided to give a TV show a shot that I knew I wouldn’t like, but people at work watch it, so I figured it was time to check it out. I watched almost half of Two and a Half Men, and it sucked. Big time.

Also concerning TV tonight, Intervention is showing a lame episode that is about the dangers of huffing/inhalants, and it isn’t documenting anyone’s addiction problems. Oh well. Tosh.0 was funny – at least the part I saw. They had little David from David After Dentist (Youtube), and he was cute.

GOOD THING: Choxie is sleeping lots.
BAD THING: Casey is RUDE.

choxelbeans

I’ve been having so much fun with my Choxlebeans lately! Choxie Truffle Beans has been so snuggle lately, and she’s been particularly hilarious this week participating in her newest activity – fighting clementines! We have had so many laughs watching her pick fights with citrus fruit this week. On a worse note, she’s been shocking me a lot lately. Somehow, she’s got lots of static these days. Choxelbrains has also been taking over our bed in the middle of the night lately since she’s so cold I guess. This morning, she managed to pile up Brian’s 2 pillows together, stand them up, then lay behind them and stick her head between the crack in the middle. It was so cute that I took a picture with my phone, but I don’t want to get up to load my pictures.

Work was great today because I finished all the big stuff I needed to do this week.

I decided to postpone my reading of The Family and replace my reading time with Same Kind of Different as Me because 1) I have heard it’s awesome and 2) I have a ticket to go with some friends from work to hear the author speak next Friday evening. I read 4 chapters tonight, and it already seems like it’s going to be really good. I didn’t know it, but it appears to be a true story, which is always awesome.

Oh gosh – did any of you see Chris Pratt on Conan last night? He was hilarious! I loved his Cabella’s story.

I have missed my ghost shows two weeks in a row! That’s okay because I am sure reruns will come on later this year.

I hope it snows enough to play in tomorrow! 🙂

GOOD THING: light work load for the rest of the week
BAD THING: hands are so super dry
