february weekend

So far, the weekend has been good. Brian and I went to Longhorn Friday night because I could get my usual meal for free. Firecracker Chicken Wraps are the BOMB DIGGITY. I also got a sweet potato. Afterwards, we went to Kripsy Kreme! We hardly ever go – maybe 2 times a year, but we had coupons to get 2 free – so we got 6 hehe. We also rented Cyrus from Publix, and it was pretty good. Today, I didn’t sleep that late. I never do lately because I have stopped taking my muscle relaxer at night, which is why it’s usually so hard for me to get up, I think. Anyway, I got up and went outside to work in the yard/woods. My work was very productive! I’m pumped about that. Afterwards, I took a shower and bummed around the house a while. We went to Surin tonight because we had more coupons, but I ended up not using it because I opted to get soup & sushi instead of an entree. Brian also let me eat one of his crab angels. The dinner was scrumptious. We came home and ate orange rolls! Brian watched a ridiculous movie on tv while I looked online all night, and now that it’s over, there is NOTHING on tv to watch.

Today was so beautiful! I love when it’s so perfect, you just want to go outside when you wake up and never come back in. 🙂

GOOD THING: Choxie is so cute.
BAD THING: have to get up early tomorrow

itchy

I have been SUPER itchy lately. My skin is really dry, and it’s actually even keeping me awake at night. Good news is, when i carried all the brush from our woods to the street so they’d pick it up, I think I got a small touch of poison ivy, too. SO, itching abounds.

The reason I’m bringing this us is this – just so you know, the best thing I’ve EVER done for poison ivy was discovered accidentally due to going crazy at work one day. I have a pump bottle of hand sanitizer gel on my desk, which I cannot stand using, but I did rub it all over my arm once when I was being attacked by poison ivy. Honestly, it dried it up pretty fast, and I have never had that sort of luck with calamine lotion or anything else. SO, the next time you get it, keep rubbing hand sanitizer on it! The alcohol dries it up better than anything else. Ever.

From my brain to yours.

GOOD THING: home in 25 minutes (today has been rough)
BAD THING: waiting is hard sometimes! but it’s really not that hard. i just had to complain about something on this ‘bad thing’ line.

That drama was fake! Don’t worry – I won’t stop blogging. BUT – I need some comments!

Today is Friday, obviously, and here is how it’s been so far: This morning, I had the absolute worst morning hair you have EVER seen, and it was sick. Somehow, I tamed it fairly quickly before work. Work was very slow, but it wasn’t bad. I was just ready to get out of there! After work, I drove through downtown Homewood and considered checking out At Home and that new store down on the lower side – can’t remember what it’s called – but there were no parking spots, and I gave up. I drove on over to Whole Foods and ate a little bitty salad with some SICK dressing (thank goodness I got it in it’s own container so I didn’t have to use it), fruit, yogurt and some delicious pasta salad. The dressing was their balsamic vinaigrette – do not get it. To me, it tasted and looked like A1 Steak Sauce, and salad is not steak. It was VERY strong. Oh, and I drank some Tazo Passionfruit Tea. After I ate, I figured I would go check out the Amy’s Soup selection, and it was all on sale! I loaded up my right arm with 7 cans and got outta there (after paying). On the way home, people were driving terribly, so I was trying to switch lanes some to get past them. In doing so, I accidentally switched into a lane that was exiting off 280, so I had to take a detour to Highland Avenue on the way home. Oops!

After lunch, I came home and immediately changed clothes and headed into the woods to work a while. Choxie slipped past me and made it up there, too, so she ran free for a while. I got a decent amount done, and the dog had tons of fun running all over the place. I finally just now got her back into the yard and shut all the gates so she can’t get back out. Now, I am sitting outside in the backyard in the swing while typing this and watching the beautiful birds! They’re singing lots of songs, and I love watching them fly all over the place from tree to tree.

I have seen one chipmunk already this year, which means Choxie did, too. She’s already back to taring down the rocks around the water garden trying to get to them. they must’ve woken up from the winter!

I just saw ANOTHER house on our street go up for sale! I don’t think it was yesterday. It’s the cutest one so far, and someone should get it – someone we know so we can be neighbors! It’s on the inside of the U, so it’s not on a steep hill, and it’s 1-story. It’s cute!

Brian just walked outside and scared the CRAP out of me because it is 2:3, not 4:15, and I had no idea he was coming home early. AGH! I think I almost just had a heart attack.

GOOD THING: soup on sale!
BAD THING: might be sore after climbing up and down the backyard today

I’m going to stop blogging since you people never comment anymore! :/

GOOD THING: IT’s FRIDAY!
BAD THING: This weather won’t last forever, but it’s nice while it’s here.

busy busy

This week is pretty dang busy. At work, Monday was my busiest day of the year – EXCEPT – it wasn’t nearly as bad as expected! I’ve coordinated the Lil’ Lambs Consignment Sale 11 times now, and this was the easiest time ever. No complaints! On that note, we ran out of seller numbers in 2 days (which should mean it was extra crazy even though it wasn’t). We’ve never run out that quick! It’s fine by me, because that means I only had 2 days of constant phone calls.

Also this week, I’ve had stuff to do every single night, which usually puts me in a bad mood or at least wears me out – depending on what it is. All this stuff is fun except cleaning, so I’m just tired – no bad mood! I can’t remember what Monday was, but I know I cleaned some for the rest of the night, so that took the time away. Tuesday, Kat came over, and we crafted until 8:30. I just watched TV after that until time to go to bed. Tonight, I will go to the church and meet with friends like always to chat. After that, I might go eat with Brian and his parents because Urban Cookhouse is having a fundraiser tonight for a big farm here in town that was ruined in some winter weather. Tonight, ever dollar from take out meals for 4 will go to the farm and its owner. Sweet! Thursday is TV night! It will be fun, duh.

I can’t wait for this weekend! I can’t sleep late Saturday or Sunday, but I will still enjoy every minute of it. Woo!

I showed up to work today, and everyone is talking about snow. What the?! I don’t ever watch the weather, so that was news to me. We’ll see what happens, I guess.

GOOD THING: my pectoralis minor doesn’t hurt anymore! haha – strained it lifting laundry, but the chiro hooked me up
BAD THING: –
